Substitution to PEAR.
These are for those who are no longer receiving any emails in enthusiast 3.1. These are the files that will be affected:

show_join.php
members.php
show_update.php
show_lostpass.php

The files above should be backed up before proceeding just in case there's an error.

Editing show_join.php

Back up show_join.php before going to step 2.
Look for the following lines in the file:
$headers = array( 'From' => $notify_from, 'To' => $info['email'], 'Subject' => $notify_subject, 'X-Mailer' => 'PHP 4.x', 'Content-type' => 'text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1' ); $mailparams['sendmail_path'] = $sendmail; $mail =& Mail::factory( 'sendmail', $mailparams ); $emailed = $mail->send( $info['email'], $headers, $notify_message ); if( $emailed !== true ) { // PEAR Mail didn't go through! Replace that with:

Then underneath that line, add these lines:
@mail( $info['email'], $notify_subject, $notify_message, "From: $notify_from" );
Look for this line:
$message = stripslashes( $message );
Underneath it, add these lines:

Look for the following lines in the file:
